VI
Hari Seva Camp for CV students
CCMT
EC organised the VI Annual Hari Seva Camp at Chinmaya Gardens, Coimbatore from
24th April to 28th April’18 in which 144 students from 15
CVs and Vision Schools learnt the art of contributing to the society selflessly.
Students worked in teams to make garbage pits, azolla pits, vermicompost pits, brooms,
paper packets, new notebooks from partly used notebooks and pillows out of rags
and silk cotton. They spread awareness in 7 villages
reaching out to 700 families – a total of 2800 beneficiaries. Children painted trees and roof top of 2 rooms
in Chinmaya Gardens. Acharya PriyaArunachalam explained beautifully why one
must serve and how to serve. SwaminiSampratishthananda inspired the children to
serve like Hanumanji with devotion and humility. Swami Anukoolanandaji inspired
the students through his inaugural and valedictory address – sharing the
message on seva is love for self, as the world is the form of one God alone. Dr.Meera
Krishnan, Director of CORD Siruvani, played a role of a mentor and mother
motivating and guiding the children in villages along with her team of workers.
Hari Seva continues to nurture changemakers and sevaks from CVs.
