Report on the Book Launch of Life-an Aradhana

CCMT Education Cell has brought out a Value Education Book series “Life-an Aradhana” in the silver jubilee year of the Chinmaya Vision Program for classes 1 to 8 and the book was launched online on  the 30th August at 10.25 am in the morning. The first phase of books are being distributed to Chinmaya Vidyalayas through Education cell and the generic edition will be prepared for the non-Chinmaya Vidyalayas in the next Year.

The Program began with an invocation song presented by the music teachers of CIRS.

Smt Shanti Krishnamurthy, Director, CCMT education Cell welcomed the viewers.

Swaminee Vimalananda, addressed the viewers highlighting the significance of CVP and also mentioned about the National Education Policy completely overlapping with the CVP concepts.

Swami Anukoolananda, Zonal director, CCMT Education cell, shared with the viewers the main features of the book.

The series was launched by Pujya Swami Swaroopananda, the global head, Chinmaya Mission. He appreciated the efforts of Swami Mitrananda in guiding the team which worked in preparing the content. The first Copies of the book were handed over by Swamiji to Swami Anukoolananda, Zonal Director CCMTEC, Smt. Shanti Krishnamurthy, Director CCMTEC, Smt. Mini Jackson, the Principal of the Chinmaya Vidyalaya MHSS Vadavalli, Coimbatore, and to Smt. Rajeshwari Satish, the Principal of CIRS.

Oxford University Press has done the curation of the content, come out excellent Illustrations and have published the book. Sri Yash Mehta, The Executive director, Oxford University Press informed the viewers that they will be soon coming out a generic edition for introducing in Non Chinmaya Vidyalayas. He also informed that the digital content with animations and a teacher hand book is in the pipeline.

The ideation team which worked on the content -the Yuva Kendra members led by Kum. Yashashvini from Chennai Chapter introduced themselves to the viewers. The glimpses of the training modules prepared by Swami Mitrananda was shared with the viewers. The program ended with a formal vote of thanks presented by Smt. Shanti Krishnamurthy.  She made a special mention of Sri Emmanuel Joseph , director, CBSE, Academics for giving an inspiring foreword for the book. She also acknowledged the contribution of the CIRS staff in the launch program.
